 Breaking in methods

Hi all,
Could you please share some methods of "breaking into" new reeds? I have heard of many different methods but none of them seem to work for me. Could someone please help? Many thanks.

This topic has been discussed several times before. If you go up to search
and type in "break in reeds" you will find several discussions on the subject
from the past.
