Thanks for the advice on embouchure exercises. What can anyone suggest on exercises to strengthen the mouth, in particular the muscles around the lips? After about a half hour of playing air starts leaking out around my mouthpiece due to fatigue.

Dear Steve: This may sound very silly, but I've tried it and it sems to work for me... I only try this when I'm home alone watching TV, etc. or at work, buried in my cubicle where no one can see me, etc. or even driving around in my car (mainly at night when it's harder to see, ha!!!) I do various repetitive variations on the clarinet embouchure such as pretending I'm closing my lips around the end of a broom handle (or clarinet mpc, you get the idea) and hold it for maybe a minute or two, then relax...or form the letter "O" (or the sound "OOOOOOH) for the same amount of time....then do various combinations of "OOOO" and "MMMM" keeping my lips tight for a minute or two, then relaxing. After awhile, you come up with several variations on it...it seems to help me, especially when I'm unable to practice as much or as often as I'd like; and unlike practicing the clarinet, you can do these little exercises (discreetly, of course!!!) just about anywhere, anytime!!! Hope this suggestion was of some help.

Exercise every day and you will have a good embouchure muscle:this will be the best advice. But I guess double lip embouchure may work, since fatigue means excessive power is used and double lip embouchure if trained properly will bring about very relaxed embouchure. I would like to read the opinions who use this method.
