Please help!
I am recreating a picture of my 75 yr-old father in law at age 10 and need a scaled down, 12" model of a clarinet by Christmas to finish the gift. I've looked everywhere and can't find a thing. I will pay shipping for overnight if anyone can help me find a 12" clarinet to go with this MYTwinn doll I've had made!
Thanks for your time! 8~)
Dora

If money is no object, Leblanc offers an A-flat clarinet (a *real* one) which is 14" long. You might be able to find a used one, but it wouldn't be easy. These are scarce. Non-functional models, though, sorry... I can't help.

Considering the time frame here, Dora, your best bet is to 'wing it' and realize we can't be choosey. Try substituting a recorder or Flutophone. They look enough like a clarinet... well, you know
Flash your Artistic License and tell 'em Ronnie sent ya! Merry Christmas!

Well,

I'm afraid it would last too long tho get the Kinderklarinette C1 made by Guntram Wolf, Kronach, Germany, a 14.5 inch instrument in G with 3 keys (a lot cheaper than the professional Ab instruments). It's a nice instrument for back pack tours (where every saved pound counts).
A fingering chart is shown at the Woodwind Fingering Giude.

Merry Christmas,

Arnold (the basset hornist)
