Scale Book

Hi,
I have been using Baerman III for the past decade or so and was always annoyed by the order in which the scales are presented.
Is there any book that has all that Baerman has but in which the scales are presented somewhat in a logical fashion?

Cmajor scale, thirds, broken chords, 7th...
Aminor scale, thirds, ...

I would like to have all that is related to one scale in one block. So I can really practice that scale exhaustively with less than 20 page turns. I guess I should have this all memorized but still, I'd love to have such a book.

Is it what the Hite edition is about?

what about that avram galper's upbeat scales and arpeggios?

is that also baerman???????

I am currently in the galper scale book, and it is a great book to learn your scales in. It has an entire page devoted to each key and it basically goes in the order of flats and sharps: C major/a minor, G (1 sharp)/e minor, F (one flat)/d minor , D (2 sharps)/b minor, Bb (2 flats)/ g minor...etc. Then it has an entire section devoted to arpeggios in the back. it's very thorough, and gives you ways to finger each scale to give you practice for when you play actual music.

Another book is the Klose scales/arppeggios. I think they're really thorough too...except that they don't give you help in fingering...you kind of have to do it yourself.

HI all,
I bouhgt the Hite edition of Baerman 3 and it was exactly what I wanted.
Each scale is comprehensively presented.
scale, tonal chords, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, octaves, 7th chord.....
+ chromatic scales and whole tone scales...
