I have inherited at a Jerome Thibouville Lamy clarinet...in poor condition. It appears to be from the early 1900's, but I can't find much info on JTL. I have seen a JTL violin for sale on the web, but no woodwinds. Looking for info??? Thanks,

Don't have much info, George, but Thibouvilles I've seen aren't bad horns. If it's not totalled it's probably worth fixing. If it's early 1900's though, you might want to be sure it's a low pitch instrument before doing any work on it.

George,
Most JTL's are old enough to be Albert system --- is yours? Just after the turn of the century, I think, JTL became "Thibouville Freres", and around that time switched to Boehm-system clarinets.
