How to play that part on an alto clarient in tune?? You'll need to go and get a truck with a trailer hitch. Next go to the nearest Rent-All center. GO to the counter and ask to rent the largest and most powerful chipper. Next drive home and put about a gallon of gas in the chipper. Then start it up. When it is running go inside and put the alto clarinet together. Walk back outside and chuck the clarinet into the chipper and wave good bye cause you never have to play that thing again!

As I remember, we played this in high school. I think the alto part may be simply a doubling part. I vaguely remember some fairly high notes in the bass part.
