Well, after the summer break, it's back to my lessons. My teacher surprised me with Milhaud's Sonatina ... Wow what a piece !!! Reminds me of Stravinsky. Kind of a "cubist" work. Unfortunately, I can't find any insight notes/background on it. Can anybody help with significate details to help me give a direction to my interpretation ? Thanks .

Hi Mario,
Here are a few recordings that appear in the discography section on Sneezy. I have heard Meyer's and Cohler's are excellent, although I actually have not listened to them.
Milhaud pieces are usually very rythmic with an almost jazzy beat to them and should be played very lightly and witty!
You can check:
http://www.ongaku-records.com/MoreCohler.html
to hear it play in realaudio format...
Hope this helps,.

Jacque Lancelot plays that piece on a CD too. Was that piece dedicated to him?
