 Sad News :(

Hi Gang -

Just got word that Everett Matson passed away last Thursday night. He had been sick with cancer for a long time, and been in and out of the hospital a lot recently. My husband had talked to him just that morning in the hospital, he was hoping to get out soon.

There will be a memorial service for "Mat" on September 16th at 2:00, at the United Methodist Church in Red Bank, N.J.

I had been thinking about this individual just last night and today. I had read here, several weeks ago, that he was sick. Last evening I played on a B45 mouthpiece I got that he had worked on. It was an excellent session of clarinet playing for me, and afterwards I was rather happy. I'm sorry to hear of his death. Never knew the man, never spoke to him on the phone, but in my small way I'm quite sorry. --Bill.
