Any ways of fixing the rubber case handles on some Buffets so that it doesn't break off the metal?

Replacing the handle would be the best bet. Probably could try super gluing an existing handle about to "break off" .... by reinforcing with some plastic on the INSIDE of the handle.

FYI - case repair: There are case replacement kits available that most of the music stores have. That is, most music stores that do School Band Instruments have access to repair materials for cases --- thus since the repairs are contemplated, these music stores have a stock of case replacement parts. I would get the handle replaced. Also, shoe or luggage repair stores can install a replacement handle depending on the size needed.
