I wonder If neck straps that are advertised for Alto/Tenor saxophones or Bass clarinet may be shortened enough so they can also work on Bb/A clarinets. Any of you who use them on larger instruments and you also play clarinet may confirm that. I'm especially interested in trying a BG S50YB-MSH if it can fit Bb/A clarinets length.

I'm quite tall, but have no problem using an Alto neckstrap on clarinet- I use a little leather strip that fits over a thumb rest, and then has a hole in it for the neck strap hook.
I was at a workshop that makes bespoke shoes, and found a pile of these little leather bits (obviously made for a different purpose, I don't recall what, but that fit perfectly for the use described above), they were happy for me to take a handful and I share them with students.

How about the Vandoren Harness neck strap?(Vandoren FNH100) Do you think that is more possible to work with clarinet? My clarinet technician has placed a little cord on the thumbrest so I pass the neck strap's hook. Currently use a BG CCE but I want to try a similar design strap with a non-elastic cord.

You can always shorten the cord by tying a knot in it, or if it's webbing, put a fold in it and safety pin it or stitch it to shorten it.
