I was just sitting here marveling in appreciation for this resource that we share. My first heaping of gratitude goes to Mark. Of course, we all know he's getting rich from all this (sic joke). Mark . . . for all you do - Thanks.
And then there are the regular posters that have so much incredible individual and combined knowledge. There's probably not a clarinet professional in the world that can speak as competently to the broad range of clarinet topics as does the body of regular posters on this board. From performance to manufacture to repair to enthusiast - the bases are covered. I have learned so much from the regulars. The only way to repay a debt like that is to pass it on as freely as it was received.
And finally . . . to the new players, their parents, and other occasional posters . . . you contribute more than you will ever know. You take the bold step to ask a question hoping to not feel ridiculous. Take away the fresh probing questions and all we'd have is a clarinet club with a 'Members Only' sign out front. Don't quit asking those questions . . . and no, they aren't stupid questions at all.
You all have made coming back to playing a most wondrous experience for me. It was just time to give credit where credit was due.
Thanks,
Fred

Being a clarinet teacher means teaching - whether in the classroom, in the studio, or posting advice on the Bulletin Board. Those of us that do so, do it to promote, foster and keep alive the wonderful spirit of clarinet playing. As it has brought us much pleasure in life- we pass on this knowledge freely and lovingly. I'll also 2nd the kudos to Mark for this fabulous forum...

How about F B, a full band!!! Its been by and large a learning experience, in a few instances I may have a bit of knowledge and am willing to show and tell what little I know in a profitable exchange with others. Keep it goin' , Mark. Don

You guys almost brought me to tears, and you weren't even talking about me!! Being a beginner makes it difficult to regularly post, and I try to help as much as I can, but I'm willing to leave it in the hands of the more qualified - JButler, mw, Brenda, etc. I just wanted to add my thanks!!
Maybe now we'll have enough for a whole clarinet choir!! (I call contra!!)

And if we're handing out awards for consistent individual contributors, let's not forget Ken Shaw, William and anji.
