Hello All,
I just purchased this clarinet for a friend and took the top joint apart to give it a good cleaning. Upon polishing the keywork I discovered the pads need to be replaced. It is in a Bundy case, but there is nothing on the instrument itself that says Bundy, or any other name. The only information on the instrument is "West Germany 75664" engraved above the thumb rest. All that to say, I need to identify the instrument to order the correct pad set.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

It's really difficult to say. But one could guess a vintage Shreiber, maybe an Evette / B10 equivalent ?
West Germany was unified back in 1989 ??
So this would preceed that ... I'm guessing.
Since you are taking it apart, if you take the pads out and then measure the pad cups that would give you the measurements you need to order a pad set.
When you buy a pad set they are mostly for more modern or more popular instruments. Thus you would be best to measure them yourself since this is older and unmarked.

When you measure the pad cups, measure the inside diameter or they won't fit.

Also on age it would have been after 1973, when it was ruled that W. Germany and E. Germany had to differentiate where the goods were manufactured. The courts ruled that they could not simply use Germany any longer.
