I don't think Silverstein needs my praise, but I felt compelled to point out some some notable current trends from them.
While they are still offering ligatures with more features at higher prices, they also offer a "budget" option in the ligature they call Quattro. This ligature is a "four cord" ligature (like their T-Frame) but it features the A-Frame design with the new "rocker" bridge (self leveling bridge featured on most of their ligatures now) at a very reasonable $95.00 ($85.00 for the "old bridge" configuration).
When I received the Quattro ligature it included a 1.5mm allen wrench to adjust the diameter of the ligature up or down. Even though Silversteins have been adjustable for some time, I believe the inclusion of the wrench is a newer and welcome change. It made me go back and adjust two of my older Silversteins and brought them back to life for me.
There is also a quick, helpful video how to adjust the size (located under "Ligatures" then "Set up Guide").
I now have four very usable, very good Silversteins.........and I may be interested in what the six-cord and the titanium options can do for me.
