His web page is interesting, too. Apparently he plays clarinets and saxes while driving his cab in San Francisco.

For the other end of the eBay universe, check out Item # 1448875640

METAL CLARINET !!
Used AND Abused.
THIS IS THE 2ND CLARINET I FOUND IN THIS
CONDITION!
IT HASN'T BEEN TOUCHED BY HUMAN HANDS IN A
WHILE (I USED GLOVES TO OPEN THE CASE) THIS IS
A HORN FOR THOSE LAMP BUILDERS!!! It SMELL LIKE
A LAMP , LOOKS LIKE A LAMP AND I'LL BET THAT IF
ANYONE COULD MAKE IT PLAY IT WOULD PLAY LIKE
A LAMP. Sold as is with NO RESERVE!!

....ummm, not too expensive at the moment.

Stockton, or vicinity thereof, (Lodi?), is southeast and inland of S.F. on the delta leading into San Francisco Bay. Unfortunately, you can't see the Golden Gate Bridge from there. It's pretty desolate, rather lonely place actually. It was a major shipping port during Mark Twain's time, moderately active today. And those harbor lights still do strange things to people who play Eb clarinets 5000 hours at a stretch to the 'gulls down there.
Would someone pass the Tums, please? (...thanks)

What I can't understand is if this E&S is the "finest Buffet ever crafted," why is he dumping it on eBay and, at the same time bidding on an R13 eefer?

Yes, and he says that he already owns two other eefers. He's also selling an old bus, and its description makes for an amusing read.

Jack, you (sly & observant) devil. You picked up on that, too. AND, he said that the E&S was the BEST that Buffet ever made in his description. I smell something burning! Sorry, but this looks clearly like a problem caused by CHEMICALS! mw
