Hi everyone,
I'm trying out a Recital (an old love of mine!) but of course have noticed the intense weight of the model. My elastic neckstrap gave up the ghost a while back, and I'm wondering from anyone with experience, do you use a fixed or elastic strap with these?
If anyone has a lead on a Recital A I could try, please let me know!
Thanks,
Peter

Does the Recital even have a neckstrap ring? I recently bought a Selmer Presence and was disappointed that it had no ring. And there was no way even to attach a leather tab for a strap as with the BG strap. So I had the stock adjustable thumbrest removed and replaced with a simple non-adjustable thumbrest that will accommodate the leather tab of the BG strap. Pain in the you know what but it works. There's no excuse for Selmer not providing a ring or loop for a neckstrap. Even my light as a feather Patricola eefer has a neckstrap ring which I actullay use, since I don't like any weight on my thumb at all. Anyway, I use the BG clarinet strap which is elastic. If you're worried it breaking maybe try a Ray Hyman alto sax strap.

You're right, there's no ring to receive a strap, crazy with a horn so heavy! Thanks a lot for your reply, Peter
