Hi there. I am actually a saxophonist, but a friend had handed me the above named clarinet. She has asked me to sell it for her. I have searched the internet and can find no information on this manufacturer. I do know that silver clarinets are not regularly produced now. Does anyone know about this brand?? I occasionally sell items on Ebay, But i am loathe to list something that I have no information on. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Perhaps someone who knows of these would like to own it directly??
Thank you very much. I hope to find a "board" such as this for saxophones. Kudos to the sysop/webmasters!!!!!!!!!

Hi there, Thank you to all whjo have looked and are assisting me on this. Thanks to the folks who told me where to look for a serial number. I found one. B. It appears to have been hand stamped, as they are not all the same depth.
There is no other markings I can find. the instrument is in fairly good condition, it needs a pad or two and a good cleaning, but nearly all the silver is there, and it is straight. the Laurent freres marking is on the fromt of the bell. the case is there, but is in pretty rough shape. the barrel is there, as well as a mouthpiece and a reed and clamp. it looks as though it would need some new cork. (remember, I'm a sax player, so i'm using what i know, not necessarily what is right for the clarinet). Thanks again, this is a great board. If anyone has heard of a similar one for sax players, please let me know. Thank you again. srg>>>>>

There's a good bulletin board for sax players at www.classicsax.com. There's also an excellent, active newsgroup for sax players, alt.music.saxophone.
