Nicholas Baldeyrou joins forces with Philippe Cuper, Sebastian Manx, and Carlos Ferreira (Philharmonia Orchestra) to play from the Vivaldi Concerto RV 580.
A world-class clarinet expo in miniature! As a bonus, the video that follows has Baldeyrou playing Saint-Seans' violin concerto. Listening to and watching Nicholas play, I sometimes have to kick myself and ask "is this just a dream, or is he really doing everything he seems to be doing?" Unreal, apparently effortless performance, musical and theatrical.

Ferreira didn’t stay in the Philharmonia (London) very long. Went to ONF in France, to join Patrick Messina. Probably a choice forced but Covid. I’m sure the pay, package and conditions are far better at ONF, especially if you want to survive something like Covid financially.

For me the "magic" is hearing a smooth coupling of fairly different Boehms and the addition of the Oehler with no apparent problem of matching. Of course there is a difference between a Baldeyrou video and sitting in a section together under contract, but it's still fun to see.
