Well, i got my clarinet back. For all who weren't here or just don't remember i put my Buffet R13 Bb in the shop to get the key rings lowered, get cork pads added, raise my thumb rest, and make adujstment with my right hand and left hand pinky keys. Newayzzzz, my clarinet is back and she plays beautifully, over the next couple of weeks she'll be going in and out of the shop getting tweaked here and there. I'm getting the tension in my RH Eb lever released and my 1 and 1 Bb adjusted as well as my side Bb. The undertone problem i was having is pretty much obsolete now thanx to the cork pads. The precision required to put these helped to seal the leak i was having earlier. She's beautiful and i love playing her, she plays better than when i first got 'er. She's not perfect... yet... but there is a significant change. For the 1st time i played the Mozart and found the action and response i was getting from my clarinet to be quite sufficient. I no longer have problem overshooting as frequently which i think is due to the weaker strength reed i've adjusted to. I'm playing on Vandy V12 3.5s clipped. I used to play on Vandy V12 4.5s i'm thinkin a Vandy V12 4 will be just right for the summer we'll see what happens in the winter for as we all know the strength reed we use in the summer isnt' always the same strength we use in the winter especially when the humidity and temperature are so significantly different!! Newayzzz, i will report back with more as my clarinet goes through it's make over!! OH yeah as far as tone goes, my tone is really sweet now and fluid, there's depth but definetly a richer or sweeter quality to it. I dunno any other way to explain it! Hope that was clear!

"over the next couple of weeks she'll be going in and out of the shop getting tweaked here and there". It shouldn't need that after it has just been worked on!
"The undertone problem i was having is pretty much obsolete now thanx to the cork pads". IMHO this was because of adjustments, nothing to do with cork pads.

Gordon had you bothered to continue reading or pasting you would have noticed that was what i was referring to. Not the pads themselves.
