Legere Student Reed

Legere is apparently offering a Student reed .
I saw this in on the Weiner Music site, but it seems to be out of stock
I would love to try it out as it seems to be priced in the $8 range
It doesn't appear on the Legere site

I googled it and it said no longer available. It was offered in only 2 and 2.5 strength. I use a 2 (for practicing only-- wood for me to perform). Does that mean I'm a student....?
