 Finding a Selmer Model 65 Bass Clarinet Neck

Hi All,

I am looking for an extra neck for my Selmer Model 65 bass. When I got it, I requested the flatter angle neck and Selmer supplied it for me. Now, I'd like to add an extra neck that is more angled.

Selmer is back-ordered and the distributor for Blashaus necks indicated the company will be producing only gold-plated necks in the Heavy-Heavy category in the future. I prefer the Medium Heavy silver-plated neck as I am seeking a brighter sound. I know, these necks are a tad on the expensive side but a trial period is offered.

Does anyone know where I can pick up one (Selmer or otherwise)? I've seen several Asian replacement necks on eBay but the register key setup will not work on the Model 65-67 bass.

When I was looking for a Buffet bass neck I just contacted as many dealers as I could and eventually found a few who could order one.

I'm looking for a Buffet bass neck, so if anyone sees this an has one let me know! (I've been told the cheap chinese ones are actually ok, and have been quite tempted as I haven't been able to find a 2nd hand one) dn
