Hello!
I just finished fixing up a German-style clarinet and a German mouthpiece is on the way. The horn came with what I can only assume is a french mouthpiece that was "modified" to fit the smaller bore of the German instrument.
My question is what strength WM reed should I start with? $30-$40 for a box including shipping is a lot to wager on a reed strength so I'd like to see if anyone has any recommendations. OR, if anyone is willing to part with a fresh one or two from their personal stock for a nominal fee? Thanks BBoarders!
Cheers,
Jacob

I believe I have some White Masters and Black Masters in my closet. Played them on a French mp and clarinet, but didn't like them that much. Email me for more info

Most likely the suitable ones are 2 and 2.5. I remember Vandoren now has a product called reed card for people to try their reeds and to find the correct model and strength.
