I recently won an auction for a Selmer Signet Soloist. I've been looking for one for awhile after having several Signet 100's come through the shop.
I went higher than I usually do on auctions but got it for just under $130.
It arrived today and while the case isn't great, the clarinet is really nice!
It needs new tenon corks, and I'll probable re-pad it as well but I'm happy with the purchase.
I tested it as-received on the Magnehelic. The LH joint reads a little high at 4 (8 is wide open) but the RH joint is at a nice 1. I find that most wood horns don't quite make it to zero (I have several Vito student horns that read 0).
The only thing I had to do right away was cork the bell tenon. That took all of 10 minutes and I was able to play it. As expected, it's a little touchy given the MAG reading on the LH joint but overall still very nice. Keys are very nice.
I think I have a winner and may just keep this one. I'm curious to see how it stacks up to my YCL-52 once it's re-padded.
I'll try to get some pics up
