qustion about repair

Good day!!! as a child i had a second hand clarinet which was made in chechoslovakia (which been dissolved into chechia and slovakia in 1993) brand name Special... It has an extra ring in the hole of low c which closed a really small pad above the 3rd finger. On top of this pad is an adjusting screw like the one in the A key of the throat notes, where can i find these adjusting screws??? Because the one it is installed, is too short and does not any adjusting...

The throat G# adjusting screw should be the same thread - swap them over to see if that helps.

Unless it's one of these screws with the flanged base which you can only fit if you remove the keys first:

Only when I encounter this type of screw I file down the flange and fit a nylon tip in there instead.

Xmmm good idea!!! I will try these ideas!!! Where do you buy the nylon tip?? Is it like a fishing line??

I think it is - either that or guitar/harp string. Any nylon monofilament of around 1mm to 1.2mm diameter will do the trick. Then once superglued into the hole drilled into the screw, form the tip into a dome with a smooth file.
