Does anyone know of any jazz flavored pieces for solo clarinet that are really good and not overly difficult??

You said "jazz, solo, really good, and not overly difficult" in one sentence ... that's a hard one!

The Templeton Pocket Sonata meets all the requirements except perhaps the "not overly difficult" - I heard Tom Martin play it, and when he played it it seemed effortless - which probably makes it a pretty hard piece.

Well, it's not quite jazz, but the third movement of the Stravinsky three pieces might fit the bill. Also, try the Bernstein sonata. As for "real jazz," Moonlight Serenade is good.

Actually, to make it even harder, I should have said unaccompanied, not just solo...sorry.

So far you've got two true solos - the Templeton Sonatas and the Stravinsky ...

You could, of course, get any one of MANY jazz "fake" books.
If you want to play unaccompanied, they don't even have to be
written for a Bb instrument. Most of them would have several
songs that meet your requirements. Some of my "blues" favorites
are:
Georgia On My Mind
Ain't Misbehavin'
Stormy Weather

I'd have to say that "Georgia on my Mind" and "Stormy Weather" have a lot more in common with the blues than with jazz ...

Have a look at Lullaby of Birdland --- get the version that starts off with those lovely low notes.

Hi, Brian. Try these: 1. "It's Either a Song or a Dance, for Clarinet Solo," by Ronald Shroyer (Southern Music Co.), number 2 and number 4 in this can be played in a jazz style; 2. "Artie Shaw's Jazz Technic, Book Two, Fourteen Clarinet Etudes," by Artie Shaw (WB Music), some of these can work as stand alone short pieces. --- Harold

Have you tried 40 Modern Studies for solo clarinet by James Rae?
