 Opus

I picked up my Leblanc Opus from the repair shop today. I just finished practicing for an hour. I've only felt this kind of love once before, and that was when I married my wife. What an absolutely incredible instrument. It doesn't just play beautifully, it looks beautiful. It's so much easier to play in the altissimo range than it was on my Yamaha 20. I don't have to strain anymore. And that SOUND. Darker, huskier. More full bodied that I'm use to hearing. For grins and giggles I played against a recording of my self. No harmonics this time. Just pure sound. Some notes are a little stuffy on some passages, but that's me, not the clarinet. When I slowed down, it sounded great. It's going to take me a while to get used the fingerings, I keep hitting the Ab/Eb key, but I have all the time in the world to learn. To me, the Opus is as close to perfection as I could ever hope for. Thank you every out there who plays the Opus.
