Hi everybody,
I've recently been asked by my cousin to play a few pieces (clarinet and piano or solo clarinet) for his wedding next year. I told him that I would send him the links to some pieces and he could choose which ones he would like.
I am having trouble finding some music for this occasion. I want to play actual clarinet pieces rather than cheesy arrangements (Pachelbel's canon, no thank you!)
I have down the three middle movements from Finzi's Five Bagatelles and the middle movement of the Mozart clarinet concerto. Possibly the Rachmaninov Vocalise too?
Are there any other pieces which would be appropriate?
Thanks,
Abbie

Take a look at the Baermann Adagio. It is a lovely piece that works well.

I once played the middle movement of the Weber 1st concerto as a wedding prelude. Too bad the piano didn't sound like horns.
Would transcriptions of baroque flute/oboe/recorder repertoire be considered "cheesy"?

Hey, at least nobody's making you play or sing "We've Only Just Begun". Though that did have a nice clarinet intro.
