I am also curious to see how many different instruments everyone plays I play the piano, clarinet, recorder (all but the bass which I can't afford at the moment) and now I am trying to learn a little Eb soprano flute.

Clarinet, Recorders, Irish Tin Whistle, Guitar, Mandolin. I can also get a tune out of a piano, get a few notes out of a cello and have failed miserably to play the trumpet.

I play the bass clarinet, soprano clarinet, alto and tenor saxes for jazz, and I know one chord on acoustic guitar. (I'm so glad I'm not the only one who struggles with piano!)

Kai,
"... and most successfully, my hi-fi."
Wish I had thought of that but I haven't heard that term in 30+ years.
I went to Scarborough Faire yesterday and there was a guy there from FL selling various wind instruments - most of which I've never seen.
There were "recorders" of course. Then there were flutes and more flutes - most from bamboo.
There were the flutes that are played by blowing at the end rather than the kind we generally see in an orchestra. Now these guys sound really cool - kinda like what you hear in the western movies with American Indians (or Native Americans: whichever is politically correct). If I had not had my witts about me, my emotions could have easily bought the rosewood flute for $120 - nice. He also had, and I'm sure most of you musicians have seen these but a first for me, bamboo with tone holes and a sax mouthpiece, different types: Alto, tenor, baritone.
The guy could make them sound pretty nice - almost made me want to buy one of those too.
Hey, I have my hands full with this clarinet.

Besides clarinet, just piano. I know *how* to play the flute and sax, but you wouldn't want to hear it.

I play all the clarinets, flute (pic through alto), all saxes, oboe, bassoon, and recorder well enough to have a person lisson to. And I play left handed piano (I have Carpal Tunnal in the right hand and can not push down the keys), French horn, and some percussion.
But I own three Bb clarinets (two antiques), a flute, a pic., a recorder, a keyboard, and an old pmp organ.
And of cource God's given gift, I sing!!!
"Music is life, life is good!" This was the back of my high school pep band shirt on year and I think it is a great saying.

I play all flavors of clarinet and saxophone, plus bassoon and euphonium. Um...we just finished brass methods, so I'm competent on the rest of the brass family, plus I play some mean bass drum, triangle, and castanets! Piano is a struggle, but I'm working on it for my proficiency exams...
Hooray for lots of instruments!

Just clarinet and piano. Well, I know some guitar because we all learned it in my music class last year (8th grade) but I don't think that really counts. Oh, and I did the recorder thing in elementary school but I don't think I could play a single note on one of those any more.

Hmm, I've never counted. The first ten were the hardest... I have always been able to figure out any instrument put in my hand...
Mastering one is beyond me though.
But that is why music can remain amusing.

Counting Eb and Bass Clarinet as additional instruments, 6
Not counting them, four, which are flute, oboe, clarinet, and piano, although I only play the last two regularly.

Clarinet (Bb) and recorder (sporano and alto). I have tried to learn to play bouzouki for years, but I never got good at it; my fingers don't really feel at home on a fretboard. Since I took up clarinet in november, I have pretty much stuck to that thing.

clarinet - best but still not brilliant
flute - OK, do a bit of minor teaching
oboe - badly and it gives me headaches
tenor horn - a little behind my clarinet but I actually play it in a band so I use it the most
sax - a bit but I have problems reaching the keys
Euphonium - I prefer not to but I dabble a bit on occasions

Clarinet - my first instrument and best
Bass Clarinet - 2-3 years in high school
Trombone - around 5 years in high school, it may come back out of the case if I get the time to fool around with it again.
Piano - just started around Christmas
Handbells - started last fall. They are fun. A different kind of beast.
I'd like to learn the flute next if I can find some time to practice it with working full time now and having to clean the house at least once in a while. :-)

Piano (after 8 years of that, there's no way you caould find a more difficult instrument), Bb clarinet, bass clarinet (can't stand it but trying to earn brownie points with the band director), soprano recorder, and a couple chords on the ukelele and guitar. Not too bad of a singer either.
