Hello;
I know this topic has been here before, i know the same things don' t work the same for everybody, but i' d like people using Legere signature reeds to tell here the combination Mouthpiece- ligature and reed strenght they use. Just to try to make a percentage.

Thanks!!

With my new Walter Grabner mouthpiece, K11* model, I am having great success with the carbon fiber reeds currently being offered by Forestone and Harry Hartmann. I play a Leblanc Concerto Bb worked on by Tom Ridenour and use either a Vandy optimum lig (parallel rail) of my vintage Winslow lig with a four pin configuration.

FWIW, I've never "met" a Legere reed that I have liked--and I have tried multiple examples of all models. Previoulsly used Vandoren V12, 3.5's, but now play synthetic for all orchestral, wind ensemble and jazz gigs.

The Legere reeds are slick, so some ligatures don't hold the reed on the MP well. An old-fashioned Rovner seem to keep things secured. Some of the smooth metal ligatures that have a small contact area on the reed my have problems with the Legere.

Hi All:
Clark Fobes recently made me one of his new CWF 1L Zinner mouthpieces for my Bb Clarinet.
It's works great with all my fine Legere #3.5 Signature reeds.
The ligature for me is the Gold BG LD1 Duo.
I use that set up on Clarinet every night at WICKED on Broadway! Good look with whatever you choose :-)
