So I found my old buffet which I played for a few years as a beginner, and I have no clue what model this is. Nickel plated keys, and a plastic body which they detailed to make look like wood. I've browsed buffet's site and none of the models on their match this. I looked up the serial number and it was made in 1971, in Germany. If any of you know what model this is please tell me!

I added pictures but for some reason it posted two of the same post. It doesn't seem to be a b10, the bell and the barrel look different. And if you look at the top of the middle section the metal is straight instead of bent like on a b10

From your description, the serial number and the pictures, I would say you have an old B12. But probably not from 1972. I'm pretty sure you used the wrong serial number list for two reasons: (1) AFAIK, there is no serial number list for any of Buffet's plastic student clarinets, (2) a student Buffet clarinet from 1972 would still have been designated Evette, not B12. I have an older B12 (serial number 4xxxxx) that has nickle plated keys. It also has a shiny finish. Buffet did use a matte finish on the B12s for a while (though I thought that came after mine was made) with nickle-plated keys. From the picture, I can't tell if your clarinet has a matte finish or if the shine has simply worn off. It actually looks more like the latter to me. Trying to identify your clarinet by comparing it to models currently pictured on the Buffet website won't work. They've changed the designs too much. The B10 is a relatively new model. I doubt it was even in existence when your clarinet was made. Silver-plating the B12's keys is also a recent phenomenon.
