Does anyone know if there is any place in Vienna where one can go to hear Schrammelmusik, particularly with the clarinet in G known as picksüße Hölzl ?

I worked in Vienna for a year but never came across the little G clarinet. However, I wasn't aware of it's existence at the time.
Probably Grinzing would be your best bet. There are a lot of touristy heurigen (traditional Viennese wine bars) there and schrammelmusik is associated with the heurigen. A No. 38 tram from Schottentor used to get you to Grinzing, but that was 15 years ago so check.

"Really sweet": I'd like to add: in Austrian dialect "picksüss" means cloying sweet, in standard German you would say "klebrig süss".
Also interesting: the typical 12 string „Schrammelgitarre“ (Baßgitarre).

The Heurigen in Grinzing, Heilingenstadt and Nussdorf are probably your best bet.
That said, when we visited Vienna a few years back they had a Schrammelmusik festival of sorts in the centre of Vienna with loads of different bands playing in the Burggarten (central public park/garden). From memory that was Sundays in August, but I've no idea if it is an annual thing or not. There were loads of picnickers sitting around listening to them - great way to spend a Sunday. If you google Schrammel Picknick Wien Burggarten you might find out more
Be warned though: in many bands it seems that the accordion has replaced the high G clarinet. We did get to see one that featured it but most were accordion - and a few were an untraditional line up with Bb or A clarinets or flutes instead of violins. Still good music of course, but without the 'clarinet cuteness' factor.
There is also an amazing museum of musical instruments with a good audio-guide system featuring the high G clarinet (and kazillions of others). Spent far too long in there!

Thanks to all for observations and help. I'll be in Vienna in July so unfortunately won't catch any of the Burggarten Sunday concerts. I'll just have to wander into every pub in Vienna and see what I hear. Last time in Vienna I heard some bar music but no clarinets.
