I am trying to date this Normandy 4 clarinet, can someone please help me. The serial number on it, and it is on both the upper and lower joints and is quite distinctly A4993. I found this web site, http://www.woodwind.org/clarinet/Equipment/HowOld/index.html , but it does not list that serial number under the Normandy clarinets. There are some very late models with serial numbers starting with B, but none starting with the letter A. I suspect that some are missing from this list?
