Hello all!
I've played the clarinet for 7 years now and I just did my grade 8 a few months ago (got 139 woop!) and I was wondering if anyone has suggestions for good A clarinets - preferably slightly older models that I could get for under £1000 as I'm playing more and more orchestral music for clarinet in A (also I really want to play Brahms' trio).
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated (and links to any for sale in the UK if possible).
Thanks

Are they still in business?
I've seen several pairs of B&H Emperors going for a song at well under £1000.

Audition a brand new Lyrique A for around $1200. No harm done (except maybe a few $ shipping) if you don't love it. And if you decide to keep it, you've saved a chunk of change. Your only problem might be liking it better than your Bb.

On ebay, you can find some NOBLET (40 and 45) clarinet in A.
