Hi -- I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find a recording of the Liebermann Concerto for Clarinet and was wondering if anyone here had any idea where I can find one.
Thanks!

You might try asking the Swiss public service radio stations-Liebermann was Swiss. Try Zurch rather than La Suisse Romande. I find that they have always been very helpful when it comes to find Swiss rarities. I don't know the name of the public-service radio station serving the German-speaking part of Switzerland. I didn't know this piece existed. What is it like? Jazzy?

Jon Manasse performed the world premier of the Liebermann clarinet concerto with the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra in the US. This live performance under conductor Neal Gittleman was taped and planned for release on a commercial recording in 2011. Evidently the release did not occur.
Koch International was going to offer the Manasse performance on a cd (?) that would also include a performance of the Libermann trumpet concerto.
Koch had already, in 2008, released Manasse's performance of the Libermann Quintet for Piano, Clarinet and String Trio, Op 26. This recording is still available for purchase on Amazon (ASIN B0019R4TEG),
The Liebermann concerto was commissioned for Manassee to perform, so he would be the go to person for information concerning the composition and any recordings of it.
See http://www.cinstages.com/onstage/proddetail.asp?ProdID=107867.
When it comes to the clarinet, Manasse is clearly Libermann's muse.

I must have a different Liebermann. Rolf Liebermann, the composer who was the director of the Paris Opera?
