Anybody have any experience with these CSOs? I have the urge to buy a red, white and blue one for our band's 4th of July concert and Memorial Day services. But if they are really stinkers, I'll pass. This would take the place of my 1937 PanAm HR or my Conn 16 for these outdoor events.
Any thoughts? Negatives welcomed, I probably have a screw loose on my upper joint somewhere as well as a leak in the A pad...

Where do you buy the red, white, and blue clarinets?

They're on Amazon - just search for red white and blue clarinet.

I'd suggest keeping an eye out for a used Bundy or Vito. I got a perfectly good Bundy off EBay once for $15 (with case). You can paint it yourself. If you use paint that's easily removable, you could paint it differently for different occasions. It's a good idea to have a plastic clarinet for outdoor events anyways. Good Luck, whichever way you go.

My question is... who gets less respect- a photographer with a pink camera, or a clarinetist with a pink (or red white and blue) horn? (Yes I know a clarinet is not a horn- spare me.)
I am assuming for the sake of argument that it's a first class camera and a first class clarinet. Perhaps the Ridenour folks decided to go technicolor to just rub it in the face of the grenadilla purists, LOL. Imagine that the only clarinet with the sound and playing characteristics you love- is only available in neon yellow. Can you take this horn to symphony? ...or audition? Do you dress to match?
The pink camera could cause me some trouble in pro settings.
And I confess to finding white clarinets appealing. With crystal mouthpiece of course. And then you need a Legere reed and an invisible ligature. Oh, and one of those silver bells that seem to no longer be available.

Yeah, I got over it already. And, my significant other pointed out that it is red white and green! Since she's of Italian descent, I'm surprised she didn't want me to buy it!
Those white Dazzlers were nice though, hope I can pick one up someday???
