 Hmm... Looks like you need a screwdriver to tighten it or at least very uncomfortable if not impossible to tighten with your fingers... unless you were sarcastric and I missed it...

 In 1988 I hosted a German clarinet player called Andreas Weiss. He played Oehler system, and for ligature would buy a Luyben- then cut it in half with scissors and use the top half in manner shown above. Would probably get a very similar result, only you could tighten it with your fingers rather than a screwdriver.

 it can be tightened with a penny. We Swiss, of course, would use our pocket knives.

 Those hose clamps used to come with a thumb screw as an alternate to the slotted head.

 Wouldn't it sound better if the screw was on the top of the mouthpiece instead?

 Geez, looks like my Pomarico.   Not so funny, I paid about $40 for that one.  Actually what's funny is that I was looking for another one just six months ago.
