Hi - Long time no post (so long that they punted my registration!)....
My ww quintet would like to play this piece but we don't have the oboe part. It's been OOP for years. Does anyone have an oboe part that they could scan and email me?
Thanks so much!!
Lynn

You might be able to buy the piece here
http://www.musicsalesclassical.com/composer/work/297/45197#
www.worldcat.org lists libraries around the country that have it.
Or have you tried these already?

Thanks, but the whole point is that I already *bought the piece - the oboist who played it back then took off with the part and I only need the oboe part.
If you have a link to where I can buy just the part, great. But I don't have endless pockets to pay for the whole arrangement again.
I have had others email me and suggest the same thing. Please, don't. I will report you to Mark.

Unfortunately they're emailing you with the only "legal" way of doing it if you can't buy the just the part or get permission to copy someone else's part for your own use. It's an unfortunate consequence of losing the part.
Not that anyone is going to hunt you down and sue you for having a copy of the part instead of the actual part when you really did buy the set of parts ...
Personally, I might not ask for permission to copy on the off chance that the publisher says "No, you have to buy the whole thing again" and getting the request on record ...
