Does anybody know if there is an available band accompaniment for Crusell F minor Concerto (#2)? I have a student who would like to enter a competition that requires works with band accompaniment,

I don't think there is, but there may be.
If there is, I sure hope I never have to listen to it! :-)

Great detective work, Davyd; I'll see if the cultural section of the Swedish Embassy in Washington can help me find this music!

Larry,
You might also try contacting the Vestre Aker Musikkorps, the Norwegian band that performed the work on YouTube. They have a website with contact information and are on Facebook. To get to the contact information on their website, Google their name and select "Translate this Page" or simply go to their website and choose English from the menu on the left (unless you're fluent in Norwegian ). The conductor's name is Thomas Rimul. His e-mail address with the band is: dirigent@vam.no
Best regards,
jnk

You're welcome, Larry. I'd be interested in knowing whether you come up with the actual material.
An orchestra I'm in had Crusell 2 on the program a few years ago. I have to say I prefer Weber 1.

I'm informed that the transcription is available from FIMIC, the Finnish Music Information Centre:

Norwegian folks at the Vestre Aker Musikkorps were most gracious and helpful!

FIMIC is a great organization to work with - I have bought several pieces of music from them and they are very helpful. Good luck with this.
