The Altieri single case clarinet backpack bags, I know they have 'large pockets', but is it enough to fit a laptop? Was just wondering for uni. Cheers.

Depends on the size of your laptop. Is it very much larger than, say, Baermann III?
I'd also be wary of adding extra weight, both to the outside pocket and to the bag in general. It wasn't designed to carry a clarinet, music books AND a laptop.
But for occasional --OCCASIONAL--convenience it's probably fine to add a computer.

When need be I put it in the same compartment as my clarinets. I have a double case though, so it's pretty big. It's more protected in there.

I admittedly only have Baermann III as a pdf, but I would suggest so. I'd also assume for the purposes of this that I'd carry a laptop frequently.
But you'd suggest it's probably not strong enough, then? Maybe I'll have to find a normal backpack that can fit all that, as reasonable quality ones are usually pretty strong.
Thanks for the replies.

I have two Altieri double clarinet case bags and both are roomy and strong enough to carry any of the newer laptops out there. I have a Toshiba "Satellite" which fits easily into the outer music compartment.
