Usually EEb contrabasses go down to Low Eb(concert F#1), but recently I saw a unique one made by Ripamonti in Milan, Italy. This baby has virtually all-gold-plated metal parts, and allegedly goes down to Low D(concert F1). And it is made from palissander. It looks really stunning compared to others while at a similar price. So here it is:

So, what do you think? Does this horn convince you?

Yeah I saw their BBb too in a few occasions before. I prefer it more than the Selmer BBb. But wooden BBbs are too costly. Hope someone would make a delrin(the superior synthetic material that Stephen Fox offered) or a smaller German bore(vintage Lothar Reidel http://bcaweb.bai.ne.jp/der_leiermann/gallery_3.html) BBb, so that we could have something a bit more economical.
Back to the EEb. If I'm getting an EEb, I'm very likely to choose this one. This baby is really gorgeous while at a reasonable price. Golden plated parts and a Low D! What more can I ask for?

Hangardude, you know the Leblanc paperclip EEb contras go to low C, right? If you're into low notes, that'd be the one I'd go for.
