Zinner A or E blanks

Is there a visual difference between a zinner A blank and E blank? I know it has to do with Ligature lines 2 vs 1 but which is which?

The 1 line up 1 down is the E. 2 lines on the bottom is A.

Other visual indicators are more difficult to see if you're not an "in the biz mouthpiece nerd". The A has a much deeper baffle, while the E has a higher baffle and overall higher pitch\brilliance than the A.

The ligature lines are a good indicator as mentioned above. There is an exception to this though, when you consider the people that have a custom blank from zinner. The custom blanks (like Fobes, for example) have a 1 and 1 configuration. His blanks are close to the E blank, in the sense they have a higher baffle and a bit higher pitch. The bore is also custom by Clark. Overall, the zinner options offer something that everyone can play with their facing\tip opening configuration.

Of course, that doesn't mean there aren't competitive blanks on the market these days.
