Hello--
Does any one know how will a dental bridge
at the front affect the clarinet playing?
I don't know whether it is my own imagination
or what, since i had put on a bridge when 8 years
ago, my tone quality was not as good as before.
I have checked with several dentists and they
told me the bridge is fitted properly .....
does anyone have any idea?
thanks
Ming

Ming-
Perhaps you judge your tone by what you hear, rather than what others hear. It would be reasonable to expect the vibration being conducted through your teeth, to be different with the bridge.
Do others say your tone has changed? Perhaps you are compensating, trying to make the vibration sound the way it did before. One way I find to hear how I actually sound, is to practice in a small room, such as a restroom. That way, the sound coming into your ears may be stronger than the vibration.
