I recently ordered a 10-reed Selmer reed case. I already had the 5-reed one, so I already knew what it was going to look like. Or so I thought.
Apparently someone at Selmer has decided to redesign the case. The new one has no hinges at the back. Instead, the vinyl covering extends across the entire back. The most important difference to me, however, is the air vents. There are two little air vents, one on each side of the case, near the back.
Should I be happy about the air vents (and the redesign) and keep the case? Or should I try to find a different case? I would prefer a glass case, but I'm open to suggestions.

It's fine if you keep it in an air tight freezer bad all the time with a Rico Vitalizer in it and keep it sealed all the time, that way the Vitalizer will last a very long time and keep your reeds humidity controlled. I prefer the 56 myself. By never allowing the Vitalizer to sit out in the open air they last me about two years each.
