Hi guys!
was wondering if any of you could help me. I have recently come across a piece called Black by Marc Mellits for two bass clarinets with low c extension.
Through working on this piece with my duo partner, we have decided we would like to do a few more piece for bass clarinet duet. Although some of the free music is pretty good, we were wondering if there was anything more professional and technically challenging (even if it costs) that you guys are aware of for bass clarinet duets.
Thanks for your time and help guys :D

I'd like to suggest that you contact Sqwonk (you'll find them on YouTube), they have (at least) two CDs out with bass clarinet duets and the like.
One piece is/was indeed Mellits' "Black".

Sqwonk consists of Jeff Anderle and Jonathan Russell. Jonathan has a website where you can buy, at reasonable prices, the sheet music a number of pieces for bass clarinet duo etc. that he has written including three on their first CD. Here's the link:

I would suggest Sofia Gubaidulina's "Duo-Sonata" for two bassoons. I know that many saxophonists have taken it on and perform it as a duo for two baritone saxophones, and I think that it would be equally effective for two bass clarinets.
