My favorite american poet Wallace Stevens wrote a poem titled Mozart for Winter(may be slightly different in name).
Very good.

Oh, THANK YOU for reminding me of that wonderful poem! I don't have my Stevens anthology in front of me (I'm at work), so I can't remember for sure if that's the exact title, but you're close.
Totally unrelated to clarinet: Stevens is one of the best (and most important) poets of this century, and anyone who hasn't discovered his poetry is really missing something wonderful. "Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird" and "The Idea of Order in Key West" are just amazing, and his great poem "Sunday Morning" is perhaps one of the greatest, most moving pieces ever written in the English Language.
Okay, now my cover's blown. I'm a frustrated English professor! I'm one of the zillions (well, seems like that many, anyway) in academic limbo after getting my master's degree. The job market for teaching positions is completely depressed, so no reason to go on for the Ph.D. yet....so I work outside of academia. For now. ;-)
Wow...thanks for that little reminder...you made my day, Hiroshi.
