Anyone have info about old Normandy clarinets with an A prefix for the serial number?

I've seen Normandy clarinets with a letter prefix on the serial number but I'm not sure what vintage they are. Is there a model name stamped underneath the Normandy logo on the upper joint?

Some good information can be found here: http://www.clarinetpages.net/vintage-odd-brands/normandy
