I want to buy online some methods and music for clarinet. What store I can find a lot of sheet music for clarinet and send to Brazil.? Here I just find online but dont have so much..
I've been reading two books about clarinet : one from David Pino, another from Keith Stein both in english because I think that haven't in portuguese. What other book you already read and recommend?
Thank you

Go to the Clarinet Institute clarinetinstitute.com
There is a whole bunch of clarinet music you can download for free. You can also buy the disc which is only $10-12. The disc comes within a week. So far I've bought the oboe disc, the midi file disc, the clarinet disc, and the woodwind quintet disc. I wish I knew about them sooner because it would have saved me tons of money and space.

camyllacarvalho -

The best place to buy clarinet music is Gary van Cott's site, http://www.vcisinc.com/. He has everything and knows everything. When you order, pay the small extra amount for shipping insurance.

The Pino book is nearly all text and is very comprehensive, but, in my opinion, not very good reading. There's more information than anyone needs.

The Stein book is an excellent presentation of the basics, but, again, it is not a method book and contains little music.

To learn to play, you need a method book, such as Klose, Lazarus or Langenus, which are similar and contain many etudes and other practice material. The Klose is downloadable from http://imslp.org/wiki/M%C3%A9thode_compl%C3%A8te_de_clarinette_%28Klos%C3%A9,_Hyacinthe_El%C3%A9onore%29.

You will also need a book of scales, arpeggios and related patterns. Every serious clarinetist keeps the Baermann Method Part III on the music stand. You don't simply play through it. Instead, you pick a single exercise (2 to 3 lines long) and work it out slowly and meticulously. The book is available at < http://www.4shared.com/office/TLfm-ZJ5/Carl_Baermann_-_Complete_Metho.html >. You will need to sign up for a free account.

You can get these books on an inexpensive CD-ROM at <http://www.vcisinc.com/clarinetmusicmethods.htm >, item C1574. However, unless you want to read from a computer screen, you should really buy these books in hard copy, which is more durable and easier to handle, without knocking loose pages on the floor. Individual method books are at items C107, C117 through C120 and C145.

You can find many free downloads of clarinet music at < http://www.free-scores.com/partitions_libres.php?ordrepar=compo&CATEGORIE=100&searchexact=Clarinette,+Piano&start=40 >. The site is in French, but only very elementary knowledge of the language is necessary.

A good guide to sources of free downloadable sheet music is at <http://www.squidoo.com/sheet-music-sources >.

I also recommend the CD-ROM from Clarinet Concepts that valoboe mentions. In addition, you can find large collections at http://imslp.org/wiki/ and (with overlaps) with a Google search on "clarinet http://icking-music-archive.org/" (without the quotes).

I've always had good experiences with van cott's site. I would think that you can explain your situation, and probably get whatever he has shipped to you.
