i'm interested in order a new mouthpiece to try on. I want a really good one that can I order by internet. I use a vandoren m30. I like it but i want to try a new thing. I listen that grabner's is good.... If you have suggestions I'll be very happy

I think that Walter produces a great mouthpiece at a wonderful price.
I student of mine trialed 7 Grabners last year and they were amazingly consistent.
Because no one can tell you what will work for you -- you must try mouthpieces yourself. The Grabner would be a great place to start.

It always seems odd--if not pointless --to recommend mouthpieces or any other kind of gear. The choice is so personal. My mouthpiece, reed choice, ligature may work really well for me but not for you.
I've been playing on close mouthpieces for more than four years, but I have been curious about the work of other craftsmen and slightly more open mouthpiece/reed combinations.
Not long ago, I tried and then bought a K13* from Walter Grabner. The opening is about 1.04, compared to the 1.01 or 1.02 opening I was used to. The craftsmanship you can't see---on the inside---holds the key. The result is a noticeable enhancement of both tone and projection, plus ease of playing. I talked to Walter first--by e-mail--and he recommended this model. It lives up to everything his Web site says about this mouthpiece.
Will you find a Grabner mouthpiece to your liking? Could be. But as always, try before you buy.

Most of the big mail order stores will send you 3-4 on a trail bases. Try out as many different brands and facings as you can to find the best one for you. Make sure you try them with several different reeds because one may sound good with a softer reed and a different one will sound good with a harder one so have a few on hand. There are so many brands besides those mentioned above. Morgan, Fobes, Backuns, Pyne and the list goes on and on. Vandoren makes several good facings as well. ESP eddiesclarinet.com
