Hi.
I am a junior who plays bass clarinet at Algona High. For All-State next year, I want to be able to play my C-scale 4 octaves. The problem is, I don't know the fingerings above a superhigh A, the one above the A above the staff. I would like the fingerings, if there are any for the next three notes. I've looked all over, and I can't seem to find them anywhere. If anyone can help me, I'd be very grateful.
Thanx for your time.

The fingerings for these really high notes are all listed at the Woodwind Fingering Guide:

Be warned! At this pitch, the exact fingerings you use are not as important as good control of your embouchure. There are so many possible fingerings that just about any one will do as long you play it with the correct breath support and embouchure.

Have to do this from 'memory', Dustin - it's very late, too late to get the horn out. Someone will surely correct me if I'm wrong. Hopefully some will add to it if I'm 'right' ... :]
A = LH; 0-2-3 ||RH; 0-0-0
Bb=LH; 0-2-3 G#(C#) ||RH; 0-0-0 (or, 0-1-0 or, 0-0-1)
B= LH; 1-2-0 ||RH; 1-2-0
C= LH; 1-0-0 ||RH; 1-0-0
D= LH; 0-1-0 ||RH; 0-2-3 ||| 0-2-3|0-1-0 / you might also try open thumb hole up here and beyond - if your ears are that good. (Mine aren't anymore) Personally, I've never found any practical use for these. But they're do-able if you want to work at it.
all work for me and may get you in the 'ball park'. However, they aren't set in concrete. Super high register is very flexible as far as fingerings go. But your chops (embouchure control) have to be in pretty good shape.
I know there are many others. Some horns do better with the right hand pinky Ab/Eb. There are other fingerings that may be more suitable for *your* instrument. You'll have to try different ones; don't be timid about experimenting.

Eoin McAuley- Great site! I was about to start a thread about some evil trill fingerings, but I found all my answers. Thanks.
