Selmer intermediates -- Signet vs. Omega

Can anyone comment on how two Selmer step-up models compare -- the older Signet vs. the newer Omega (not the old Omega pro horns)? Same thing, different name?

Tom Ridenour highly recommended the Selmer Paris Omega, but cautioned that it wasn't the same as the US Omega. I've also read that the Prologue II (?) is "identical" to the Paris Omega, but this needs to be verified.

I'm inquiring about the Selmer USA Omegas vs. Signets, not the excellent Selmer Paris Omegas.

It's a bit annoying that the company recycled the name for a high-end horn into one for an intermediate.

I owned both once. Omega has very good looking but some signet sounds better. I've seen couple of different type of signets. I would say, generally, omega is better.
