Is Michele Zukovsky retiring, or is he the replacement for Lorin Levee?

He'll be replacing the late Lorin Levee, whose position has been changed to an Assistant Principal seat.

I think that should be Associate Principal according to what I've read.

It's very sad news to me. The Minnesota orchestra is truly falling apart.

I don't think it's just a matter of personal sensitivity. The pay is different, and an Associate Principal gets a lot more of the 1st parts than an Assistant. And in Philadelphia (maybe elsewhere) there's even a Co-Principal title - bassoon and harp, which I can only assume is worth even more in salary than an Associate.
